The Shibuya Go-Kart Route

The Shibuya course is short and built round one place: out of Maruyama-cho, through the Scramble Crossing several times from different directions, then up to Harajuku and Omotesando and back, on a 1-hour tour. This is Street Kart’s course H-S, and it is what you get on Tokyo: Street Kart Experience in Shibuya, from US$104 a person (checked November 2026). Longer tours from other shops add Shinjuku, Roppongi or Tokyo Tower.

The crossing, more than once
The crossing is the point of the Shibuya course. On the Street Kart Experience in Shibuya you drive through it several times, from different directions, before heading out to Harajuku and Omotesando. A July 2026 reviewer put it plainly: you go round the crossing from each side, and the guide takes a lot of photos. Another, in October 2026, wrote that the guide made sure everyone took a turn at the front for the pictures.
Traffic sets the pace. A reviewer in September 2026 hoped to drive faster but the traffic did not allow it; another that month wrote that the guide took the photos whenever the group stopped at the lights. Expect a city drive with stops, not a run.
Harajuku and Omotesando
After the crossing the course heads north to Harajuku and Omotesando, Tokyo’s fashion streets. Street Kart’s course for the Shibuya shop names the same three places, Shibuya Scramble, Harajuku and Omotesando, in about an hour. The Annex course adds Dogenzaka, the hill road that climbs from the crossing towards Maruyama-cho.
Yoyogi Park is not among the places the Street Kart course names; Monkey Adventure Kart’s Shibuya Crossing tour and BC support Co.,Ltd.’s tour from Shinjuku both name it.
Longer routes: Shinjuku, Roppongi, Tokyo Tower
Tokyo Tower is not among the places the Shibuya course names: it is 5.25 km by road from Street Kart Shibuya. Monkey Adventure Kart’s 75 to 105-minute tour passes Roppongi, Omotesando and the Shibuya Crossing with views of Tokyo Tower, and ShibuyaKart’s 90-minute course adds Tokyo Tower and Roppongi. For Shinjuku, Monkey’s 75-minute tour runs from the Shibuya Crossing to Shinjuku, and BC support Co.,Ltd.'s 1-hour tour starts there.
